A valentines craft...

I was really, really, behinde in my valentine decorating and literally finished the following craft the day before Valentines.

My girlfriend sent me a picture of a craft she saw online and we decided we were going to give it a try. It was a felt heart. They were really cute and seemed pretty simple to make.

Here is an example from the internet.

.
These are really cute and while browsing through Joann's fabric I found felt for $2.99 a yard! Talk about a great deal!! This is how you make one.

Supplies:

2.5 Yards felt (you select the color)
Scissors (make sure to use pinking shears or fabric scissors)
Hot glue
Heart form
Round object

To start use your circular form (approximately the size of a coffee cup) and draw circles on your felt.

Cut out the circles (This will take you a while because you will use all of you felt)

Take the fabric, fold it in half and then in half again. Place hot glue on the bottom of you folds and place onto the heart object.

Place the folds consistently around the heart object. This is what the finished product should look like

This heart took me forever to finish and even though Valentines day is over it is still in displayed!
